Since I have been putting videos up on youtube, I have been getting TONS of feedback-- Many people wanting to know how to do this stuff-- A lot of requests for tutorials, etc. I apologize to all of those whom I have not been able to answer yet, but I assure you I am not brushing you off... (The schedule between business and personal life has been very over-whelming lately.)

Anyway-- I have been working hard to figure out a legitimate way of "killing two birds with one stone" in some way in which I hope I can fullfill these requests. Allow me to explain:

Some of you already know by reading other articles on this website that I have a kid with autism, and I am actively involved in fundraisers and advocacy in helping others with the same situation. One of the projects that we have been hard at work on is an organization we hope to call "The Creative Alliance for Autsim" which will represent my voice in the cause via my art talent and connections in the industry. With this non-profit organization, we hope to help spread awareness and sponsor fundraisers, connect people, etc.

Well, every organization needs some kind of funding from somewhere to get it going. And so we have been playing with the idea of setting up yet another business branch tied to my personal illustration biz that would sell product- in this case; tutorial DVDs--- of which a portion of the profits I would dedicate to this other NON-PROFIT organization (which I will from this point forward refer to as CAFA - short for "Creative Alliance For Autism")

So just to clarify-- Chris Scalf Illustrations-- which IS a profit business-- would donate moneys to the completely separate CAFA, which is NON-profit, and set up as 501 (c) 3 legit organization.

I have been working on various designs and styles of how this tutorial could be arranged. Shown on this page are some of the potential designs for two separate DVD "magazines" which would feature several segments in each edition cutting to the chase of my various techniques in the different mediums. I am currently in the editing process of these editions, so the length and price is yet to be determined. I am thinking that they would potentially be anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour, and would be priced between $9.95 and $14.95 (plus shipping). But for now, I would like to hear as much feedback as possible from people who are interested in this sort of thing.

This operation is very important to me, a well as a lot of other people who are inflicted with this recent epidemic in their lives. Being that I am very serious about this, I would like to truly guage the proper way of going about this. Please, let me hear from you.

Although the above image is only a prototype, this is the layout design that will be used in the genre based art techniques video, which capitalizes on Chris's passion for sci-fi and monsters.
